Communication Strategy Ministry of Communication and Information of the Republic of Indonesia in Handling online gambling (Qualitative Phenomenological Study on Sukabumi Students)
Abstract
The purpose of this research to find out the Communication Strategy of the Ministry of Communication and Information of the Republic of Indonesia in handling online gambling which aims to tackle online gambling among students of universities in Sukabumi City. This research employs qualitative research with the phenomenological method, which involves examining individuals' life experiences and understanding how they give meaning to certain phenomena. This study employs both observation and interviews to gather primary data, with the observational technique being supplemented by data validation methods, including member checks. The primary subjects of this study are students enrolled in universities located in Sukabumi City, who have been using online gambling for more than two years. This research shows that the communication strategy carried out by the Ministry of Communication and Information only focuses on blocking sites, there is no impact on the messages conveyed that can change the phenomenon of online gambling in students and even the general public.
