Development Of Mobile-Based Final Project Monitoring System Using RAD Method (Case Study of Paramadina University)

Abstract

Based on data from Paramadina University academics for 5 years, students who complete the final project course exceed the ideal 1 semester of all study programs in regular classes, namely 61%, which means exceeding the 40% limit. Overcoming these problems in this study helps design a mobile-based student final project progress monitoring application. The purpose of developing the application is to facilitate monitoring between students and professor in monitoring the progress of the final project. The software development method uses the Rapid Application Development method, in RAD there are stages of requirement planning which involves collecting data from paramadina students and professor, design workshops, namely documentation of the results of UML diagram design, and implementation testing results consisting of black box, unit, and interface feature testing. The test results were successful from all features of professor and students, while the usability test results were D which requires evaluation of future applications. With the application built, it can help students and professor of Paramadina University in monitoring the progress of the final project.
