Civics Education Based on Local Wisdom as a Support of The Nation's Character in Facing the Society 5.0 Era

Abstract

This research aims to create an interesting civic education learning media based on local wisdom. This is to increase students' interest in learning at SDIT MTA Matesih. Civic education in elementary schools shaping the nation’s character of students based on Pancasila. Students with nation’s character are expected to be the key of creating quality human resources who are ready to face society 5.0. This research method uses research and development (R&D) design to create interactive learning media. The procedure for making interactive learning media goes through several stages: 1) Potential and problems 2) Flow chart making, 3) Storyboard writing, 4) Data collection, 5) Product design. Civic Education has a strategic role in shaping the character of citizens who have character values in Pancasila, namely religion, social concern, independence, love for the homeland, togetherness, democracy, and justice that can be printed through the "Kenal Aku" application.
