Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) play a pivotal role in driving economic growth and innovation globally. However, the rapid pace of technological advancement and shifting market expectations present both complex challenges and unprecedented opportunities. This paper offers a unique contribution by conducting a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) that not only identifies major future trends impacting SMEs such as digital transformation, sustainability, and globalization but also integrates these insights into a strategic response framework tailored for SME contexts. Drawing from academic journals, industry reports, and case studies, the research addresses a critical question: What emerging forces are shaping the future of SMEs, and how can they respond effectively? Beyond mapping trends, this study proposes a practical roadmap for SMEs to adopt agile strategies, invest in adaptive digital infrastructure, and embed sustainability into their core operations. The findings provide a theoretical lens for understanding future SME dynamics and a practical guide for navigating change. Ultimately, the study underscores the importance of proactive adaptation to ensure long-term resilience and competitiveness in a rapidly evolving global business landscape.
