Abstract

This study examines how industrial work practice (PKL) and vocational competence influence job readiness among vocational school students in Bandung, specifically those in the Office Administration Automation program. Vocational education in Indonesia faces challenges in preparing graduates for the workforce, especially in the Fourth Industrial Revolution era. Using a descriptive verification method and quantitative approach, data was collected from 95 students through questionnaires. Multiple linear regression analysis showed that both PKL and vocational competence significantly affect job readiness, explaining 38.8% of its variance. The findings highlight the importance of industry experience and vocational skills in enhancing job preparedness. This research emphasizes the need for better alignment between vocational training and industry demands, helping students transition effectively into the labor market. It offers valuable insights for educators, policymakers, and industry stakeholders to strengthen vocational training programs.
